Celebrate Spring Decorating Ideas

Celebrate Spring

I don’t know about you but by the time March rolls around, I am ready to celebrate. Even though as I write this and look out my window at the snowflakes descending from the sky, I am inspired to start decorating for Spring. Officially Spring doesn’t start until the 21st of March, but here are some ways to get a “hop” on the season and decorate your table for Spring.

Put all your eggs in one basket
This centerpiece is beautiful in its simplicity.  A beautiful rustic wire basket filled with pastel eggs. It is a perfect centerpiece for Spring and can be used specifically for Easter. The colors would complement almost any d├ęcor. In this example, baby’s breath was used as an accent, but really any spring flower would work well. You could mix in some colorful crocus’ to add a bit more interest.

Birds Nest
This is an interesting take on centerpiece.  It is more for a casual setting, perhaps a breakfast bar.  I really like the shades of blue represented in the eggs and how they contrast with the dark nest.

Floral Arrangement

One of the things I love most about spring are the flowers. I love having fragrant flowers picked from my garden all around my house.  In this centerpiece, the vase is filled with colorful eggs.  This was achieved with an outer vase and a smaller inner vase.  The eggs are placed in between and the flowers can be in the inner vase.  Adding the inner vase allows you to keep the flowers in water but not the eggs.

Nature's Harvest
The carrot goes hand and hand with Easter; after all,  it's what the Easter Bunny eats. What a perfect element to incorporate into your dinner table centerpiece. This centerpiece uses fresh carrots complete with the leafy tops and simple yet beautiful daises.

Bountiful Spring
I have to say it, but I LOVE this non-traditional centerpiece. This one from Southern Living not only uses flowers but incorporates carrots and brussel sprouts.  This centerpiece is eclectic and would work well in an elegant dining room or in a farmhouse kitchen. You can find information on how to recreate this centerpiece here http://www.southernliving.com/home-garden/holidays-occasions/easter-centerpiece/easter-centerpiece-materials

Happy Spring Decorating, everyone!!
